What is Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy consists of treatment and exercises aimed at improving problems in the musculoskeletal system. Physiotherapy involves preventive, investigative and therapeutic work with the body with emphasis on movement. A physiotherapist treats most problems that arise from the musculoskeletal system. Sports injuries, sprains, strain disorders, postoperative treatment, back pain, tendonitis, muscle attachment inflammation, pelvic dislocation, sciatica, hip pain, knee pain, foot / ankle / wrist pain are just a few examples of dysfuncions that can be treated with physiotherapy. Physiotherapists often work by combining manual treatment with individually tailored exercises that the patient does at home on their own. The goal is to ensure a functional body that works well in everyday life through adapted treatment and activity.
